Free on your own.
Paid when you’re a team.
The engine is open source and always will be. What we charge for is the part that only exists once there is more than one of you: live sync, shared history, awareness of who is in which function, and somewhere in the cloud for the work to run.
Open source
The whole engine, forever. Apache-2.0, and it never phones home.
No card. No account needed to work on your own.
- Desktop app, CLI and the 29 MCP tools
- Semantic history of every change an agent makes
- Plain-English explanation of any diff
- Rewind a single function, not the whole commit
- Run any agent you already pay for — Claude, Codex, Gemini, Cursor
- Host your own git remote, and mirror any repo onto a box you own
- 100 cloud syncs a month
Pro
For one developer who wants Aura to hold the model key and the history.
- Everything in Open source
- Managed agent access — no key of your own to hold
- Token allowance included, then metered at cost + margin
- Menu-bar HUD and the desk pet
- 2,000 cloud syncs a month
- Your sessions and transcripts follow you between machines
Team
Most teamsThe tier Aura is actually for: more than one of you in the same code.
14 days free, no card up front.
- Everything in Pro, for everyone
- Live sync — teammates see the functions you changed as you change them
- Team Radar: who is in which symbol, before you collide
- Shared provenance ledger — one record of what every agent did
- Cloud machines: bring your own box over SSH, shared safely across the team
- Per-member cost, so you can see where the spend went
- Shared task board and Crew, across laptops and cloud
- Org roles, seats and invites
- 10,000 cloud syncs a month
Enterprise
For teams whose auditors will eventually ask who wrote this line.
From ~$25k / year.
- Everything in Team
- AI-authorship audit ledger — signed, exportable, per-symbol
- SSO / SAML / SCIM
- Self-hosted or in your own VPC — the server is yours to run
- Cross-repo blast radius across the whole org
- Unlimited syncs, security review and an SLA
Prices are per month, billed monthly, in USD. Seats are people, not agents. Bringing your own model key is free on every tier — Pro and Team simply mean you don’t have to.

The questions that decide it
If yours isn’t here, email the founder — it’s a small company and the address is real.
Is the engine really free?
Yes, and it stays that way. The CLI, the crates and the semantic engine are Apache-2.0 at Naridon-Inc/aura. Working on your own is free forever — we charge when a second person joins the repo, because that is the moment sync, awareness and a shared ledger start being worth something.
Do I have to buy tokens from you?
No. Bringing your own key is free on every tier and always will be — we are not going to hold your Anthropic or OpenAI account hostage. Pro and Team include managed access for people who would rather not manage a key at all; that convenience is what you are paying for.
What counts as a seat?
One person. Agents are not seats — run as many as your models will let you.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked. The org drops back to the free allowance: your history, your proofs and your local work are yours regardless of what you pay us, because they live in your Git.
Can we run the whole thing ourselves?
On Enterprise, yes — the collaboration server is a single Rust binary and a Postgres database, and it can live entirely inside your network. See Aura for Enterprise.
Does my code leave my machine?
Only what you turn on. Local work is local. Team sync moves the function bodies you change to teammates who need them; the Radar moves metadata only — who is in which symbol, never code bytes. Read the privacy note for the specifics.
Start on the free tier.
Install it, point it at a repo you already have, and let an agent change something. If the record it keeps is worth having, invite someone.
